When I first stepped into university life, I never imagined how much my journey would be shaped by one organization—Voice of Business (VoB). Joining this club was more than just another extracurricular activity; it became a transformative experience that shaped me into a more confident, calm, and resilient leader.

At the start, I was shy and unsure of myself, uncertain of how to navigate university life. But VoB pulled me out of the shadows and gave me the platform to grow. Through negotiation, planning, and leadership, I developed my communication skills, became a better decision-maker, and learned how to handle responsibilities. The countless moments of leading from the front and supporting from the back made me a more strategic and self-assured person.

As a leader, I became calmer over time, learning to deal with high-pressure situations and make quick decisions without being overwhelmed. Whether it was managing events, handling budgets, or resolving team conflicts, VoB nurtured my patience and emotional intelligence—traits that helped me lead with clarity and empathy.

In addition to developing my leadership style, Voice of Business also helped me build invaluable skills and networks. From managing magazine negotiations to launching signature initiatives like Job Market Essentials, the experiences I gained through VoB shaped my confidence and built my professional toolkit. I became more adept at networking, creating long-lasting connections that continue to open doors for me even now.

But more than anything, VoB taught me the importance of purpose. Every project, event, and initiative we led had a deeper meaning, focused on social impact, creativity, and empowering our community. The non-monetary incentive system we introduced showed me how recognition and appreciation can drive motivation—a lesson that resonates with me as I move forward in life.

Today, I step away from Voice of Business with immense gratitude and a clearer sense of direction. This chapter of my journey has equipped me to take on bigger challenges with the confidence to thrive. While my time with VoB has come to an end, the lessons, networks, and experiences I carry will guide me for the rest of my career.
